Pre-Treatment of Wastewater

Pre-Treatment is a plain screening, sedimentation or flotation process to remove suspended organic and inorganic solids from sewage. Chemicals are sometimes used to remove finely divided and colloidal solids.

Objectives of primary treatment are to reduce the strength of wastewater, remove settleable solids, remove FOG, reduce BOD/COD or to make wastewater fit for further treatment process.
